Welcome to Shark Bytes. Here we'll be posting info and tid-bits about these "cute" and "loveable" creatures. There are environmental groups supporting greater protection for sharks than might be necessary.
SFA & SOFA believes the United States has reduced shark mortality beyond what is needed while many places in the rest of the world continue to harvest shark in ever increasing amounts. Maybe there are more people in the water swimming and surfing and maybe there are also more sharks than in previous years.
We hope to add to the data base and contribute to finding the truth about these mighty creatures who seem to have no compunction in eating human beings if given the opportunity.
As Bobby Spaeth of SOFA says, "Eat the sharks before the sharks eat you."
