Commentary from Bob Jones

"I wouldn't eat a grouper any more than I'd eat a cocker spaniel."
Quote from Sylvia Earle, former Chief Scientist of NOAA and now a spokesperson for Pew Charitable Trusts's SeaWeb project.

Sylvia Earle was Chief Scientist for NOAA. After being interviewed by the New York Times Magazine, an article appeared on June 23, 1991 in that publication. She is quoted as saying," I never eat anyone I know personally. I wouldn't eat a grouper any more than I'd eat a cocker spaniel. They're so good-natured, so curious. You know, fish really are sensitive, they have personalities, they hurt when they're wounded.."
